January 2007 :
CrowdersMountain.com is 4 years old! The site is certainly starting to show her age, so I plan on doing a redesign very soon. I've got a nice list of feedback and years of statistics to help guide the redesign. How soon you say? Well, since I only do this part time and in my spare time, it might take months. So if anyone would like to help out (.net programming, photography, news articles, graphic design, flash development, AJAX, anything...), I am open to ideas and all applicants. You won't be paid, but you will have a guiding hand in making the new site wonderful, and some prominent credits as a contributor. Submit your info on the contact page if you are interested, be sure to leave your name and contact information.
Thanks! Matt

October 2005 :
What does Crowders Mountain have to offer? Check out this little promo I threw together (below) using some the bits and pieces of video and photos I had laying around. The woman's voice is actually a computer reading a script - that's why she sounds really bizarre. Enjoy!

This online Crowders Mountain State Park traveler's companion is for everyone - from the casual weekend hiker, to the seasoned outdoor adventurer. Anyone who
has ever hiked, camped, fished, or rock climbed in this state park knows what a gem it is.
This site began with the goal of having an online reference to all the rock climbing routes in the park. It was to be a tool for park visitors to keep track of the routes
they've climbed, help plan future trips, find hard to reach locations, etc.
Since conception, the scope of this project expanded to include the entire park - fishing, camping, hiking, history, and so on. What started as a fun & unique
climbing guide, has truly evolved into an 'online traveler's companion.'
If there is anything we can do to make this site more useful to your needs please let us know - we have many future plans for enhancements and additions and love feedback. Questions,
comments, and suggestions are
definitely welcome.
Enjoy your visit!

This website is not owned or maintained by Crowders Mountain State Park, but rather a non-profit
third party dedicated to educational & environmental causes. And rock climbing - lots of rock climbing.
